The Commodores open competition in their 19th consecutive National Collegiate Bowling Championship Friday at the Lansing Regional

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt Bowling, ranked fourth in the NCAA Bowling RPI, will begin its run at the National Collegiate Bowling Championship Friday at the Lansing Regional, which will be held at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl in Lansing, Michigan.

Season Overview
This season, the Commodores have notched eight top-5 tournament finishes in 10 events and won two tournament championships at the PVAMU and Stallings Invitationals. Isabel Allen and Alyssa Ballard have each registered a first-place individual finish. As a whole, the Dores have earned 10 all-tournament team selections.

Vandy broke a school record for high team traditional game at the Ladyjack Classic (1, 237 pins) and came close to repeating the feat with the third-ranked traditional game in program history at the PVAMU Invitational (1,214 pins).

At the Conference USA Championships, the Dores cruised to an opening-round win over Stephen F. Austin but fell 2-0 to Sam Houston State the next day. Eventual tournament champion Wichita State eliminated Vanderbilt from the event in a 3-2 Mega Match.

Past Postseason Success
The Dores advanced to the Rochester Regional final in 2024, before ultimately falling to national runner-up Arkansas State. Vanderbilt won back-to-back Lansing Regionals in 2022 and 2023. The Commodores finished third at the Final Four in 2022 and won the NCAA Championship in 2023.

The Dores have made the NCAA Bowling Tournament every year since 2006, excluding 2020 when the event did not occur due to COVID-19, and won national championships in 2007, 2018 and 2023. The 2025 tournament will be Vanderbilt’s 19th consecutive appearance.

The Weekend Ahead
The regional event will follow a double-elimination Mega Match Format.

At 8 a.m. CT Friday, the Commodores will face off with Fairleigh Dickinson on one side of the bracket, while No. 4 overall seed Wichita State will meet Felician on the other. The full bracket can be found on NCAA.com.
