STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Vanderbilt’s Natalie Goodman picked up right where she left off one year ago and as a result, found herself in second place at the North Pointe Junior Gold Tournament after the first five games of the week-long event.
The rising junior from O’Fallon, Ill., trailed only Dayna Mackie of Glendale Heights, Ill, in the huge national field of 561 women under age 20. Goodman had four games over 200 with a closing 235 being her best game. She averaged 213.40 on the day to Mackie’s 222.40.
A year ago Goodman earned a berth on Junior Team USA at this tournament by leading all bowlers heading into the last day’s match play ladder.
