Jackie Moore was selected SEC Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year and to the All-SEC Second Team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt volleyball senior Jackie Moore was tabbed second-team All-SEC and the SEC Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday.

The SEC postseason awards presented by Allstate were chosen by the league’s head coaches. The all-conference first team consists of 16 student-athletes, followed by the All-SEC second team with nine representatives.

Moore, who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science, boasts a 4.0 grade-point average. She is a four-time member of the Dean’s List at Loyola Marymount and Vanderbilt and earned a spot on the 2024-25 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll. While playing for LMU, Moore was named to the All-West Coast Conference All-Academic Team on three occasions.

On the court, Moore leads Vanderbilt in kills (197), hitting efficiency (.377) and blocks (89) and leads all SEC middles in kills. In the Commodores’ win over Mississippi State, Moore registered 30 kills, the most kills by an NCAA Division I middle in a five-set match since 2016. She has reset her career best in kills at four matches this season. At LMU, Moore garnered first-team All-WCC and AVCA DI All-Pacific South Region honors in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, Moore led the NCAA with a .454 hitting percentage.

Moore and the rest of the Vanderbilt volleyball team are back in action on Friday when the 15th-seeded Commodores play 10-seed Mississippi State in the first round of the Allstate SEC Volleyball Tournament at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. First serve is slated for 4 p.m. CT and will air on the SEC Network.
