Jackie Moore named to the CSC Academic All-America first team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt volleyball’s Jackie Moore was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America First Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

Moore, a political science major, boasts a 4.0 GPA. This fall, she was named the SEC Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. During the Dores’ first season in 45 years, Moore led Vanderbilt in kills, blocks and hitting efficiency. She earned recognition for her athletic accomplishments, being named second-team All-SEC, first-team All-South Region and honorable mention All-America.

This spring, Moore is playing professionally with Major League Volleyball’s Atlanta Vibe. She is the first Commodore to be drafted and play volleyball professionally.
