NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma used a 19-0 run midway through the first half to propel the Sooners to an 86-55 victory Saturday afternoon in Norman, Okla. in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. Vanderbilt was led by Saben Lee, who tied a career-high with 24 points for the Commodores.
The Sooners converted on 55.4% of their shots from the floor and were led by Christian James, who scored 21 points. Brady Manek also tallied 16 points while Rashard Odomes added 14. Oklahoma also took advantage of 22 Commodore turnovers and outscored Vanderbilt, 22-8, on points off of turnovers.
Lee was impressive for Vanderbilt, converting on nine of his 12 shots from the field, adding a season-high eight rebounds, and dishing out six assists.
Vanderbilt returns to Southeastern Conference play on Tuesday when the Commodores take on Kentucky. The game will begin at 8 p.m. CT and will air on ESPN.
