Men’s Basketball to Make 14 TV Appearances 10/19/2005 The Vanderbilt men’s basketball team will appear on television 14 times during the 2005-06 regular season, International Sports Properties (ISP) announced Wednesday. Highlighting the list of Commodore appearances are nationally televised Southeastern Conference match- ups on ESPN and CBS Sports. Vanderbilt’s visit to Kentucky on Jan. 10 will air on ESPN at 8 p.m. CT. The Vanderbilt- Mississippi State game at Memorial Gymnasium will be shown on CBS beginning at 2:45 p.m. Three appearances on Comcast Sports Southeast completed the five-network television package. Vanderbilt contests against Oregon (Nov. 30 at 8 p.m.), New Orleans (Dec. 20 at 8 p.m.) and at Dayton (Dec. 30 at 7 p.m.) will be televised by CSS. The New Orleans game at Memorial Gymnasium was originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Vanderbilt’s five-game television schedule on Jefferson Pilot Sports begins with the SEC opener against Auburn on Jan. 7 at 1 p.m.; followed by the Florida game in Gainesville on Jan. 28 at 12 p.m.; at Alabama on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.; the Kentucky meeting in Nashville on Feb. 11 at 2 p.m.; and at South Carolina on Feb. 25 at 12 p.m. Fox Sports Net will air four Vanderbilt games, including meetings with Cincinnati on Dec. 10 at 5 p.m., at Georgia Tech on Jan. 3 at 4 p.m. and both Georgia contests — in Nashville on Feb. 4 at 4 p.m. and in Athens on Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. Vanderbilt fans with Comcast cable service in the Davidson County-Nashville area can find WTVF-CBS on channel 5, ESPN on channel 11; CSS games on channel 27; Fox Sports Net on channel 28; and Jefferson Pilot broadcasts on WUXP (UPN) channel 14. ?
