Vanderbilt travels to South Carolina Saturday for a 12 p.m. start. The game will be televised by Jefferson Pilot Sports (WNAB in Nashville).

The Commodores (14-10, 5-8 Southeastern Conference) are looking to rebound from a 77-66 setback to No. 24 LSU Wednesday at Memorial Gymnasium. Derrick Byars posted a team-high 18 points, including a flurry of 3-pointers that helped Vanderbilt climb within striking distance of the SEC West-leading Tigers. However, LSU pulled away for the 11-point victory. Shan Foster added 15 points while Julian Terrell recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

South Carolina (14-12, 5-8 SEC) suffered its second loss in a row Thursday at Georgia, 48-47. Tarence Kinsey led all scorers with 15 points while teammate Brandon Wallace posted 14 points and 12 rebounds in defeat.

The Gamecocks won the earlier meeting with Vanderbilt in Nashville on Jan. 18, rallying from a 10-point deficit with 4:21 remaining in regulation to force overtime. Tre Kelly netted a career-high 29 points, including six 3-pointers. His driving layup with 3.6 seconds remaining gave South Carolina the 66-64 victory.

South Carolina leads the all-time series 21-16, having won six of the last seven meetings.
