NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt women’s golf standout Auston Kim has earned an exemption into the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open.
Kim, a junior, is one of 20 amateurs who will be part of the field. She earned an exemption via her World Amateur Golf Ranking (25th).
The U.S. Women’s Open is scheduled to be played Dec. 10-13 at the Champions Golf Club in Houston.
From St. Augustine, Florida, Kim was named to the ANNIKA Award watch list going into the 2020-21 season. As a sophomore she was an honorable mention All-American (Golfweek) and won the 2019 Cougar Classic.
Kim, who opted out of the 2020 fall season for Vanderbilt, was also an All-American (Golfweek, WGCA) as a freshman and a member of the All-SEC Freshman Team in 2018-19.
