Vanderbilt junior Jennifer Hahn claimed her third career individual title and her second this season after finishing the UCF Challenge with a final total of nine-under par, 207 (70-67-70), which tied her with Virginia’s Lauren Diaz-Yi for the individual championship. As a team, the Commodores finished in fourth place with a final score of five-under par, 859 (277-282-300), nine strokes back of team champion Virginia.

Hahn carded a two-under par 70 in her final round on Tuesday, which tied for the lowest individual round of the day after carding five birdies in her final trip around the Eagle Creek Golf Club.

“Today is what you ask for as a golfer and a competitor, to be in the hunt coming down the stretch,” said Vanderbilt head coach Greg Allen. “Unfortunately, we didn’t handle it very well today. But, what a great opportunity to learn and grow. We didn’t play the par 5’s very well today and I think ultimately that’s what cost us. But again, I’m proud of the effort and the way we held our composure after the round. And I couldn’t be more excited for Jennifer Hahn! She looked great all week.”

Senior Kendall Martindale was Vanderbilt’s next best finisher, ending the tournament in a tie for sixth with a four-under par, 212 (66-71-75). The result was Martindale’s fourth top 10 finish of the season.

Vanderbilt returns to action February 22- 24 at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate in New Orleans, La.
