- In its first meeting with rival Tennessee, Vandy earned a thrilling 76-75 win over the No. 6 Volunteers.
- The Dores erased an early eight-point deficit to lead by six at half. Vanderbilt would build the lead out to 16 in the second half before withstanding a late Vol rally.
- Jason Edwards led Vandy with 18 points. Jaylen Carey (14), Tyler Nickel (13) and AJ Hoggard (11) joined in double figures.
- Carey produced a double-double with his 14 points and 10 rebounds.
- Vanderbilt outscored Tennessee 34-28 in the paint, 18-9 on second chance points and 20-8 off the bench.

- Devin McGlockton has scored in double figures in five-of-six games entering Saturday, including an SEC-high 22 points at Oklahoma for the junior.
- The run also includes double-doubles at No. 4 Alabama and against No. 1 Auburn, as well as a 14-point day against No. 9 Kentucky.
- McGlockton is shooting .529 (9-of-17) from beyond the arc during the five double-figure games.
HELPFUL HOGGARD
- Hoggard’s 106 assists lead the Dores while his 4.6 assists per game ranks fifth in the SEC.
- The 4.6 apg would rank 10th all-time at Vandy in a single-season.
- Hoggard has 11 games with at least five assists this season.
SERIES HISTORY
- Tennessee owns a 131-77 edge in the all-time series. The Dores are just 21-78 in Knoxville.
- Vanderbilt won the first matchup this season and is seeking its first season sweep of the Vols since 2016.
