It will be 24 straight hours of Vanderbilt programming on Monday, July 18 as the Commodores kick off the SEC Network’s second annual “Takeover.”
To help determine what is aired during Vanderbilt’s day, we want to hear from Commodore Nation. Please take time to answer the poll questions linked below to help fill out the lineup.
Please note that each SEC school is limited to two NCAA postseason games. Additionally, the available games are limited to ESPN’s television inventory.
A few of the games Vanderbilt plans to include in this year’s SEC Network Takeover are:
- Soccer – 2015 SEC Tournament vs. Georgia (First SEC Tournament win since 2005)
- Women’s Basketball- 2002 SEC Tournament Championship (Vanderbilt defeats LSU for third SEC Tournament title)
- Women’s Basketball- 2009 vs. No. 3 Auburn (Vanderbilt defeats highest ranked foe since 2002)
- Men’s Basketball – 1990 vs. No. 11 Georgia (Steve Grant’s only career three-pointer sinks Georgia)
- Men’s Basketball – 2011 vs. No. 18 Kentucky (John Jenkins scores 32 points in win)
- Baseball – 2014 National Championship (First men’s national championship in school history)
- Baseball – 2015 vs. No. 10 Florida (Carson Fulmer tosses complete game shutout with 11 Ks)
The SEC Network Takeover is a two-week programming initiative dedicated to airing programming selected by Southeastern Conference schools. Note that Vanderbilt does not intend to use any footage shown during the 2015 “Takeover.” 2015 Schedule
