Hahn named to All-SEC Second Team, Johnson to Community Service team

May 3, 2016

The SEC honored senior Jennifer Hahn to the All-SEC Second Team and junior Lauren Johnson to the Community Service team on Tuesday in announcement made by the league office in Birmingham. Hahn was selected by the league’s coaches to an all-conference team for her fourth consecutive season, while Johnson was honored for the first time.

Hahn becomes the 40th all-time SEC selection, and the 17th of the Greg Allen era. Hahn also made the All-Freshman team in 2013 and the second team in 2014 and 2015.

This year, Hahn has played in 27 rounds and posted an average of 72.70 strokes per round. She has carded three top 10 finishes, with her best finish of the season coming at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown (T-5th). She finished with a season-low 11-under par, 205, in Las Vegas, registering all three rounds in the 60’s (68-69-68), with her season low coming in the first round of the Clemson Invitational when she fired a 67.

Lauren Johnson named to Community Service Team
Commodore junior Lauren Johnson was named to the SEC Community Service Team for her work off of the course this past season. Johnson spent most of the academic school year tutoring at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital every week.

The Commodores will travel to Shoal Creek, Ala., for the 2016 NCAA Regional this Thursday through Saturday, Vanderbilt’s 17th consecutive trip to postseason play.
