Junior Jennifer Hahn vaulted up the leader board on Saturday at the Bryan National Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C., and is second place in the individual standings after shooting a three-under par, 69, in the second round. As a team, Vanderbilt is in a tie for fifth with a team score of 606 (300-306).
Hahn carded the low-round of the day with her three-under 69, after posting four birdies on Saturday, and trails Briana Mao of Virginia by only one stroke
In the team standings, the Commodores are tied with Florida State and Kentucky for fifth, but are only one stroke out of fourth and two out of third.
Besides Hahn’s 69, the Commodores also counted a 77 from Antonia Scherer, a 79 from Alexandra Farnsworth, and a pair of 81’s from Cindy Ha and Kendall Martindale on Saturday.
“What a great round by Jennifer Hahn!” said Vanderbilt head coach Greg Allen. “It was so impressive to watch. She had 10 putts on the front nine and was in control of her game all day in really windy conditions.”
Virginia and Wake Forest are tied for the team lead with each in the clubhouse with a 599 entering the final round Sunday.
The third and final round of the tournament concludes on Sunday.
