Autumn Newby comes to West End from Lawrenceville, Ga, where she played prep ball at Archer HS. Newby comes from a family of basketball players, as her sister Madison plays at Georgia State and was the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year in 2015-16. Newby caught up with vucommodores.com to talk about some of her favorite things.

My advice to young people is: Never give up
I chose to attend Vanderbilt: Because you get the best of both worlds by playing in the most competitive conference and being at one of the top schools in the country.
