NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A balanced attack highlighted by six Commodores scoring in double figures, led Vanderbilt to an 88-72 win over Florida on Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium. The win helps the Dores secure a regular-season sweep of the Gators.
Liam Robbins continued his dominant play with 18 points, nine rebounds and five blocks for Vanderbilt (16-13, 9-7 SEC) to go with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists from Ezra Manjon. Tyrin Lawrence (13 points), Colin Smith (11), Myles Stute (11) and Trey Thomas (11) also finished in double figures to lift Vanderbilt to its fifth win in six games.
Vandy held a 46-36 halftime lead and led by as many as 19 points in the second half. The Commodores also held a 42-31 rebounding edge and shot 51.7 percent from the field on the night.
Saturday marked Vanderbilt’s ninth SEC win this season, the most for the program since winning 11 SEC games during the 2016-17 season.
