Five Named CSC Academic All-District

Lacrosse and bowling represented

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Five student-athletes representing Vanderbilt lacrosse and bowling teams were recognized on Tuesday by College Sports Communicators as Academic All-District women’s at-large team selections.

From lacrosse, Jaime Biskup, Brooke Baker, Alex Gladding and Nancy Halleron joined Victoria Varano of bowling, along with other female student-athletes across the country who qualified for the award. Academic All-District honorees must have a GPA above 3.5, along with being a key contributor to each team.

Biskup, who was named a team captain this last season and was sidelined during the 2024 season due to injury, was named First-Team All-American Athletic Conference after leading the Commodores with 46 goals and 20 assists for a team-high 66 points. Last year, Biskup graduated with a master’s in marketing and received a master’s in human development studies in 2025.

Baker, an All-AAC First Team selection and second-time academic all-district honoree, posted 51 points off a career-best 43 goals and eight assists. The Raleigh, North Carolina, native picked up 29 ground balls, 26 draw controls and caused nine turnovers in 17 contests. Baker earned a bachelor’s in journalism and media with a concentration in advertising and public relations while in North Carolina before receiving her master’s in human development studies at Vanderbilt in 2024. This past May, Baker graduated with a Master of Marketing.

Gladding, an All-AAC Second Team honoree and first-time academic all-district recipient, scored her first career goal and dished her first career assist during the 2025 campaign. The Pompano Beach, Florida, started in all 18 games for the black and gold and picked up 35 ground balls and caused 21 turnovers. Majoring in human & organizational development, Gladding was also named to the 2023-24 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll and All-AAC Academic Team.

Halleron, also an All-AAC Second Team selection and was sidelined in 2024 due to injury, makes her debut on the academic all-district list. The Timonium, Maryland, native posted 48 points off 44 goals, the second most on the team, and dished out four assists. Halleron earned a degree in human organizational development this past May, is a three-time AAC All-Academic and SEC All-Academic Honor Roll.

Varano, of Stony Point, New York, is a three-time All-America and two-time All-Conference USA honoree. Part of Vanderbilt’s 2023 national championship team, she has earned recognition on three all-tournament teams and has been a part of two 300 Baker games in her three-year career. A rising senior majoring in human & organizational development, she has been named NTCA All-Academic twice, to six conference academic honor rolls and was selected to the 2024 CUSA Bowling All-Academic Team.

With this recognition, Baker, Biskup and Varano will advance to Academic All-America voting.
