2012 Commodore Classic Entry List | Meet Info
The field is set for the annual Commodore Classic to be held this Saturday, September 15, at Nashville’s Percy Warner Park. The field is one of the largest and deepest in the history of the race, with several Southeastern Conference teams coming to preview the 2012 SEC Championships, which will also be run at Percy Warner on October 26.
The size of the field means there will be four total races, two men’s races and two women’s races. Each gender will be broken down into a Gold race that will include all Division I schools and a Black race which will include non-Division I schools, unattached runners and overflow runners from Division I schools.
Action will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the Men’s Gold 8K Race. There will be 24 teams in the race, including seven SEC schools.
The Women’s Gold 6K Race will begin at 9:45 a.m. That race will include 25 schools and eight SEC participants.
The Men’s Black 8K race will go off at 10:30 a.m. and feature 15 teams, while the Women’s Black 6K race will get underway at 11:15 a.m. and include 12 teams.
Fans are invited to come out and see all four races at Percy Warner. There is no charge for admission.
