Festus Ezeli, John Jenkins, and Jeffery Taylor were each named to the Wooden Award Preseason Watch List of the top 50 players in college basketball in an announcement made on Monday afternoon. The Commodores are one of only three teams in college basketball with at least three players on the list (North Carolina and Ohio State).

Ezeli, who averaged 13.0 points per game and had a Commodore-program best 87 blocks last year, and Taylor, who has started in all but one game in his career and averaged 14.7 points per game, each made the SEC All-SEC second team in 2010-11, and Jenkins was named to the first team after leading the league in scoring in all games (19.5 ppg) and in conference games only (20.8).

The Commodores begin practice on Friday, October 14, with a Memorial Madness event at Memorial Gym. The free festivities begin at 8 p.m.
