Golden State center Festus Ezeli became the second Commodore in school history to win an NBA Championship Tuesday as the Warriors defeated Cleveland, 105-97, to claim the franchise’s first title in 40 years.

Ezeli, a 2012 Vanderbilt graduate, had his best performance of the NBA Finals in Game 6, tallying 10 points, four rebounds and one block in 11 minutes off the bench.

Ezeli joins Will Perdue as the only players in school history to win titles. Perdue won four championships, including three with the Chicago Bulls and one with the San Antonio Spurs.

The 10 points scored by Ezeli were the most in an NBA Finals since Clyde Lee had 11 in Game 4 of the 1967 Finals with the San Francisco Warriors.
