On February 21, Vanderbilt’s cheer and dance teams will host youth participants, grades K-8, to help cheer on Vanderbilt’s women’s basketball team.
Participants will start the day by learning jumps, motions, cheers, dances and stunts from Vanderbilt’s cheer and dance teams leading up to a halftime performance at Vanderbilt’s game against Texas A&M.
The training portion of the event takes place from 12-3 p.m. inside the auxiliary gym at the Student Recreation Center (2700 Children’s Way). After the training is complete, the group will move to Memorial Gym for the start of the basketball game at 4 p.m.
Registration is $40 before January 15 and $50 after. The event includes a t-shirt and game day ticket. Parent tickets to the game are available at a discounted rate.
