Vanderbilt vs. Virginia set for 6:30 p.m. tip

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt men’s basketball announced its exhibition game against Virginia will tip off at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, at Memorial Gymnasium.

The exhibition game is the first chance for Commodore fans to see the 2025-26 squad in action and the only way to witness the matchup is to be present in Memorial Gymnasium. The game will not be televised or streamed.

TICKETS & PARKING

Men’s basketball season ticket holders will receive their same seat(s), included as part of the season ticket package. The exhibition game will be added to season ticket holder accounts automatically.

National Commodore Club members can purchase tickets beginning Tuesday, Oct. 7, before general public tickets go on sale Thursday, Oct. 9. All tickets for the exhibition game are $10 and will be available through the Vanderbilt ticket office or on VUCommodores.com.

Free parking will be available in the 25th Avenue Garage.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Vanderbilt’s home exhibition will not be your typical college basketball game. The Commodores and Cavaliers will play an NBA-style contest with four 12-minute quarters in the exhibition.

In addition, fans can look forward to unique experiences like mic’d up coaches, behind-the-scenes halftime access, a one-of-a-kind opportunity to impact the score via on-court challenges and family-friendly entertainment prior to tipoff.

STUDENTS

Vanderbilt students receive free admission and will be able to claim their tickets beginning Monday, Oct. 13.

Students will also have the opportunity to claim an exclusive giveaway and enjoy special on-court events postgame.
