SAMFORD
This is the first time Samford has faced Duke. Samford is now 1-8 all-time against current ACC members. Duke is 37-15 all-time against the Southern Conference.
Samford is playing in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history. Their first appearance was last year, when the Bulldogs fell to Florida State 76-46.
Samford is 5-2 when playing on a neutral court this season, and 25-22 in school history.

Duke’s 25 free throws attempted were the second most by a Samford opponent this season (most is 27, 2/2712 versus Davidson).
Samford is now 3-10 when trailing at the half. Duke is 25-4 when leading at the break.
Guard Shelby Campbell had five assists, tying a career high (2/12/11 versus Appalachian State).
Guard Paige Anderson had six points, moving her into eighth place in school history with 902 career points.
DUKE
This is Duke’s 18th straight NCAA Tournament appearance, and 19th overall. The team has won its first round game every appearance. Duke is now 47-18 all-time in NCAA Tournament games and is coming off back-to-back Elite Eight appearances. It is 6-0 all-time against 15-seed teams and 14-5 when seeded #2. This is Duke’s sixth time being a 2-seed. With its win today, Duke now has 25 wins for the 14th straight year.
Guard Chelsea Gray had four steals tonight, bringing her season total to 82. This moved her into eighth place on the Duke individual season steals list.
Center Elizabeth Williams had three blocks tonight, bringing her season total to 112. She needs seven more to tie for fifth in blocks by NCAA freshmen.
Guard Shay Shelby had six rebounds, tying a career high (1/23/11 at NC State).
Guard Ka’lia Johnson had six points, a career high (previous high was 4, twice). She tied her career high for rebounds at four (twice).
Duke’s 22 free throws made were the second most this season (most is 25, 2/15/12 versus Virginia Tech).
