The #13-ranked Vanderbilt women’s golf team won the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a final team score of two-under par, 862 (288-286-288), 34 shots better than second-place Boise State. Individually, freshman Cindy Ha won medalist honors for the first time in her collegiate career with a total of six-under par, 210 (73-69-68), two strokes ahead of teammate Kendall Martindale, who ended the event with a four-under, 212 (68-71-73).
In fact, all five of Vanderbilt’s players finished inside of the top 13. Besides Ha and Martindale, sophomore Kate Sborov finished in a tie for sixth (73-74-74=221) in her first tournament away from home, junior Jennifer Hahn finished in a tie for 12th (75-72-76=223), and junior Morgan Ransom ended the tournament in a tie for 13th (74-77-73=224).
The Rainbow Wahine Invitational ended the Commodores’ fall season, with their next tournament coming in February of 2015, when they travel to Orlando for the UCF Challenge.
