NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt men’s basketball will host eight nonconference games inside Memorial Gymnasium in its first season under head coach Mark Byington. The Commodores will open the new era against Maryland Eastern Shore on Nov. 4.
The nonconference home slate is highlighted by a Nov. 13 matchup against ACC debutant Cal. The meeting will be the first ever between the Dores and Golden Bears. The 13-game nonconference slate also features previously announced trips to the Charleston Classic, Virginia Tech for the SEC/ACC Challenge and the USLBM Coast-to-Coast Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Dores will play host to a pair of in-state foes in Tennessee Tech (Nov. 29) and Austin Peay (Dec. 21). The home slate also includes matchups with Southeast Missouri (Nov. 10), Jackson State (Nov. 16), The Citadel (Dec. 18) and New Orleans (Dec. 30).
