NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s basketball head coach Shea Ralph announced the addition of Trinity Wilson on the first day of the early national signing period.
Wilson becomes the first member of Vanderbilt’s 2024 signing class. The 6-3 forward comes to Nashville from Lakeville, Minnesota, where she is a two-time all-conference selection at Lakeville North High School.
“I’m truly thrilled to officially welcome Trinity Wilson, and her awesome family, to our Vanderbilt family,” said Ralph. “The first time we watched Trinity play, we knew she was special. She will add many positive things to our program, but her competitiveness, versatility, and fun-loving personality really stand out.”

The newest Commodore had guided Lakeville North to three sectional championships during her prep career. This past season the forward averaged 22.0 points per game in the sectional playoffs to lead her team to a second-consecutive title. Wilson was an East Metro Player of the Year finalist after averaging 14 points and 10 rebounds per game during her junior season.
Wilson tallied double-digit points in 22 games as a junior and scored 20-plus points three times. The forward registered a career-best 27 points against Farmington in the 2023 sectional playoffs.
“Trinity’s incredible size and strength will help her become a dominant force in the paint for us, both offensively and defensively,” stated Ralph. “She also possesses a high basketball IQ and a guard-like skill set, which will make her a difficult matchup for our opponents and a valuable component to our program’s future success.”
Wilson comes from an athletic family, as her father, Norries, played football at Minnesota and her mother, Brenda (Marquis), played at UConn and was a member of the undefeated 1995 NCAA championship team. She has two siblings, Cecil, who plays football at Kent State, and Sahara. Wilson played AAU basketball for North Tartan 17 in the EBYL and is undecided on a major at Vanderbilt.
The Commodores are coming off a 98-51 season-opening victory over Kennesaw State. Vanderbilt returns to action Thursday, as the Dores travel to UT Martin. Tipoff against the Skyhawks is set for 5:30 p.m. and will stream live on ESPN+ via the Watch ESPN app.
