Dores Set for a Pair of Nationally Televised Games

The 2024 Acrisure Classic will be broadcast live on TruTV

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – The Vanderbilt women’s basketball team will play in front of a nationally televised audience at the 2024 Acrisure Classic, as TruTV is set to broadcast the entire Thanksgiving week tournament.

The 2024 Acrisure Classic is a part of the Acrisure Series, the country’s largest MTE series, (multiple team event) which will be held at the beautiful new 11,000-seat Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California.

Vanderbilt opens the Acrisure Classic against Arizona on Nov. 26. Tipoff against the Wildcats is set for 3:30 p.m. CT on TruTV. Based on the result of their first game, the Commodores will take on either California or Michigan State on Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. CT on TruTv.

The Acrisure Classic boasts some of the nation’s strongest women’s basketball programs, as Vanderbilt, Arizona, and Michigan State were all selected to play in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. California, a former Pac-12 standout who joins the ACC this season, will also be a part of the Acrisure Classic.

Vanderbilt is coming off its first NCAA Tournament appearance in a decade, as the Commodores 23-10 in Year 3 under the direction of head coach Shea Ralph. The 23 wins were the most in a season for Vanderbilt since the 2011-12 campaign. Vandy picked up a 72-68 victory over Columbia in the First Four of the 2024 NCAA Tournament to give the Dores their first March Madness win since 2013.
