BIG WIN IN TEXAS
- Prior to the break, Vandy capped a week on the road with an 83-74 win vs. TCU in the USLBM Coast-to-Coast Challenge in Fort Worth.
- Jason Edwards powered the Dores with a 30-point outburst. He went 8-of-16 from the field and 13-of-14 at the free throw line.
- Devin McGlockton added 10 points and a critical block in the closing minutes.
- Freshman Tyler Tanner set a career-best with five steals, giving him 26 on the season.
EDWARDS’ ELECTRIC RUN
- Edwards has scored in double figures in 37-straight games dating back to last season at North Texas. The streak is the longest active streak in D-I basketball.
- He is averaging 19.2 ppg to lead the Dores this season and ranks third in the SEC in scoring.
- Edwards has reached double figures in all 10 games this season and surpassed 15 points nine times.
- The guard recorded his first 30-point game in the black and gold in the win vs. TCU. It was the sixth 30-point game of his career at the D-I level. He is tied for 11th among active players in career 30-point games.
TENACIOUS TANNER
- Tanner leads all freshmen nationally with 26 steals through 10 games. He ranks 13th among all players in the country.
- The Brentwood native has snagged multiple steals in 8-of-10 games this season and posted a career-best five steals against TCU.
- Perhaps even more impressive, Tanner has not committed a turnover in 213 minutes this season.
- Tanner has added 20 assists to his remarkable stat line and is the only player in the country with 10+ steals or 10+ assists and no turnovers this season.
- Tanner is the first Vanderbilt freshman to notch three steals in his debut since legendary defender Atiba Prater did so in 1996-97.
CITADEL CONNECTION
- Bulldogs head coach Ed Conroy makes his return to Nashville where he served as associate head coach in the 2021-22 season.
- Conroy helped the Dores to 19 wins and an NIT berth.
SERIES HISTORY

- The last meeting came back in 1978, a 78-63 win for the Commodores.
