LAS VEGAS—Six members of Vanderbilt’s bowling team and assistant coach Josie Earnest will be among the many competing at the USBC Team USA Trials/U.S. National Amateur Bowling Championships January 2-7 at the Gold Coast Hotel.
The Commodores include Amanda Fry, Robyn Renslow, Nicole Powell, Katie Stark, Jordan Newham and Kasey Eaton. They will be bidding for berths on the USBC Team USA for 2016, a squad that will consist of a minimum of 12 women. Earnest has been a member of previous USA national teams and Renslow has been a past member of Junior Team USA.
The top four women finishers will earn automatic berths on the 2016 team with two added roster spots going to at-large picks by the national selection committee. Complete coverage and live streaming can be found on bowl.com when the competition opens Jan. 2.
