Ben Hogan Award: Vanderbilt golf junior Will Gordon has been recognized as a “Hogan Hopeful” for the 2018 Ben Hogan Award, which honors the top men’s NCAA Division I, II or III, NAIA or NJCAA player in college golf.
SEC: Vanderbilt freshman guard Chelsie Hall has been named to the SEC All-Freshman Team. The 5-7 Boca Raton, Fla., native started each game this season and led the team with 12.1 points per game during the regular season.
VUCommodores.com: Zac Ellis offers a primer for Vanderbilt’s spring practice, which kicked off this week. The Commodores, in head coach Derek Mason’s fifth season, welcome in new assistant coaches while returning a host of experienced playmakers like senior quarterback Kyle Shurmur.

VUCommodores.com: Last weekend, Vanderbilt women’s tennis beat No. 1-ranked North Carolina, 4-3, in Chapel Hill. The win was the squad’s third win over a top-three team and second over a No. 1 team in the country. The Commodores open SEC play at home this weekend against Auburn and Alabama.
FIBA: FIBA’s Paul Nilson spotlights how Vanderbilt center Mariella Fasoula expects to be a key member of Greece’s national team for years to come. Last month, Fasoula played with Greece in a qualifying round for the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2019.
SEC: Vanderbilt redshirt sophomore center Djery Baptiste has been named to the 2018 SEC Community Service Team for his work off the floor in the Nashville and Vanderbilt communities. Congrats Djery!
