VUCommodores.com: This week Vanderbilt basketball signed point guard Darius Garland, a unanimous five-star recruit and consensus top-10 player in the class of 2018. Garland is the highest-rated recruit ever to sign with the Commodores. Said head coach Bryce Drew: “Darius is a program changer.”
The Tennessean: Ralph Webb, the all-time leading rusher in Vanderbilt football history, will play his final home game on Saturday against Missouri. Now Webb is able to reflect on his historic Commodore career. “I feel like I’ve given everything I can to this program,” Webb said. “I’m still giving it all I’ve got.”
Top Draw Soccer: Following her game-winning goal in the 89th minute against Ohio State in the first round of the NCAA tournament, Vanderbilt soccer’s Stephanie Amack was named the National Player of the Week by Top Drawer Soccer.

PGA.com: Former Vanderbilt golf All-American Brandt Snedeker returned to the PGA Tour at the RSM Classic this week after almost five months off fighting a sternum injury.
VUCommodores.com: Vanderbilt running back Khari Blasingame was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team Thursday. The recognition puts Blasingame, a redshirt junior from Huntsville, Ala., in position to become Vanderbilt’s first national Academic All-America since linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer was selected in 2002.
Clarksville Online: Vanderbilt football recognized the 101st Airborne Division in the school’s Veterans Day Salute to Service during last week’s home football game vs. Kentucky.
VUCommodores.com: Former Vanderbilt golf All-American Matthias Schwab finished his successful quest for his European Tour card on Thursday after carding a final-round 67 to finish in a tie for 18th at the Final Qualifying stage in Tarragona, Spain. Schwab was one of 33 players to receive their card for the 2018 European PGA Tour season.
