• Vanderbilt volleyball kicks off SEC action in Memorial with back-to-back home matches vs. Oklahoma at 7 p.m. on Friday and vs. Arkansas at 1 p.m. Sunday
• Both matches will be streamed on SEC Network+

THE LAST TIME OUT
• The Commodores opened conference play with what is arguably the toughest road trip in the SEC—at No. 2 Texas and at No. 9 Texas A&M (then ranked 13th)
• Vanderbilt fell in three sets in both matches as the Longhorns and Aggies held the Dores to some of their lowest stats all season
• Off the bench at Texas A&M, Mia Soerensen contributed a season-high three blocks and a pair of kills
• Kamryn Chaney, who has led Vandy in kills and attacks in 10 straight matches, posted double-digit kills at Texas (10) and Texas A&M (11)
• Jackie Moore tallied nine kills, hitting at a .412 clip, her third match this season hitting above .400

SCOUTING THE SOONERS
• Oklahoma volleyball split its two matches during the opening weekend of conference play, sweeping LSU and dropping a five-setter to Ole Miss
• Oklahoma finished 15-11 overall and 8-8 in SEC matches in 2024, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament
• In 2024, head coach Aaron Mansfield led the Sooners to their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2019 and first NCAA Tournament win since 2013
• 3The Sooners recorded 14 service aces vs. Central Arkansas, a program record and the second-most aces in a match by an SEC team this season
• Senior Alexis Shelton, a third-team All-American in 2024, was named to the 2025 AVCA Player of the Year Preseason Watch List
• Shelton had a breakout junior season as she led the team with 455 kills and 4.38 kills/set
• Shelton was the program’s first All-American since 2018 and the first to be named to a team other than honorable mention since 2013
• Freshman Avaya Maga has made an immediate impact at setter, leading OU with 275 assists on the season
• Redshirt junior Kelli Jo “KJ” Burgess is ranked third in the SEC in hitting percentage, averaging .442 this season

TIES TO THE SOONERS
• Several members of the Oklahoma coaching staff, including head coach Aaron Mansfield and assistant coaches Brian Thornton and Meredith Teague worked at Loyola Marymount before their time in Norman and coached Vanderbilt’s Isabella Bareford and Moore
• Parents of coaches Russell Corbelli, Vanderbilt defensive coordinator, and Maddie Beal, Oklahoma assistant coach, led Team USA’s men’s and women’s volleyball teams at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics
• Laurie and John Corbelli, Russell’s parents, coached the women’s volleyball team to a silver medal, while Doug Beal, Maddie’s father, led the United States to team gold on the men’s side

SCOUTING THE RAZORBACKS
• Arkansas won a five-setter vs. Ole Miss and fell 3-1 vs. LSU on the opening weekend of SEC play to move to 5-8 on the season
• Jason Watson is in his 10th season as head coach of the Razorbacks and has led the team to nine NCAA Tournament selections, most recently in 2023
• In 2023, Arkansas reached the program’s first-ever Elite Eight
• Watson has brought in several transfer student-athletes for the 2025 season, including Gaby Cornier (Florida), Lakin Laurendine (Auburn), Livia Niu (USF), and Mountain West Freshman of the Year Kiki Remensperger (Boise State)
• So far this season, setter Remensperger has tallied nine double-doubles
• Remensperger ranks fourth in the SEC, averaging 9.85 assists per set
• Freshman outside hitter Parker Duncan registered back-to-back 20-plus kills matches with 21 vs. Ole Miss and 20 vs. LSU
