NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt women’s golf returns to the course this week to compete in the annual Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. The three-day, 54-hole event begins Monday at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
“The Darius has become the best tournament in women’s college golf and we’ve been fortunate enough to have played in every one since it started in 2012,” said head coach Greg Allen. “We love everything about it. Long Cove is a golf course that demands your best, not just from a golf standpoint, but mentally as well.”
Vanderbilt has finished runner up at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate twice (2013, 2014). Recently, the Commodores finished 12th in 2024 and tied for eighth in 2025.
Tillie Claggett, who was the top individual for Vanderbilt at the 2025 event, leads the lineup this week. Elizabeth Rudisill will compete in the tournament for the first time in her career. Ava Merrill, Angelina Tolentino and Lynn Lim round out the team. Sara Im will compete as an individual.
11 of the 17 teams in the field this week are ranked inside the CLIPPD Top 25. No. 14 Vanderbilt will compete against Alabama, No. 23 Arizona, No. 21 Arizona State, No. 8 Arkansas, No. 5 Auburn, No. 12 Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, No. 20 Northwestern, Ohio State, No. 15 Ole Miss, No. 18 South Carolina, No. 9 Texas and No. 6 Wake Forest.
“The field is as strong as you will see until the National Championship,” said Allen. “We need to do the little things at a high level this week and trust that we are prepared. We’ve had a good couple weeks of practice, and I feel like this group is ready to compete.”
The Golf Channel will broadcast the event live from 1:30-4:30 p.m. CT each day. Vanderbilt will tee off the first round at 9:20 a.m. CT with Duke and Kentucky. Live scoring for the event can be found on SCOEBOARD.
