The Commodore women’s golf team carded their low round of the tournament on Tuesday at the Stanford Intercollegiate with a total of 292 and finished the three-round event in 13th place with a score of 894 (295-307-292). Sophomore Cindy Ha shot a three-over, 216 (72-72-72) and finished in a tie for 17th individually to lead all Commodore players.
Sophomore Alexandra Farnsworth had the team’s low round of the tournament with an even-par 71 on Tuesday, with the Commodores also counting Ha’s 71, a 71 from senior Jennifer Hahn, and a 77 from junior Kate Sborov.
“Today we got better,” said associate head coach Holly Clark. “The girls made a few more birdies. Jenn, Cindy, and Farney had solid rounds today. I’m proud of the way they fought back and responded to yesterday’s round. They need to carry the momentum as we head to Vegas.”
Host Stanford won the team title with a five-under par, 847, seven shots better than second-place Southern California. Bronte Law of UCLA won the individual title with a eight-under, 205 (67-70-68) total.
The Commodores will wrap up their fall season at the Las Vegas Intercollegiate October 25-27.
