NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s basketball is dancing after the Commodores were selected to the NCAA Tournament as a 10-seed in the East Region on Sunday night. Vandy will face Saint Mary’s (Calif.) at 3:15 p.m. ET/2:15 p.m. CT on Friday in Cleveland. The first round matchup will air on TruTV.
Vanderbilt meets Saint Mary’s in the NCAA Tournament for the first time. The Dores are 3-1 all time against the Gaels with the last meeting coming in 2022.
The Commodores return to March Madness for the 16th time in program history and the first time since 2017. Vanderbilt owns five Sweet 16 appearances and one Elite Eight banner. The Dores are searching for their first NCAA Tournament victory since 2012 when Vandy knocked off Harvard in the first round.
