The Commodores hammered TCU in the early going of the second half, extending a 41-26 halftime lead to 62-31 in the first nine minutes of play. TCU was 1-for-11 from the field with four turnovers and five missed free throws as Vanderbilt swarmed all over the Horned Frogs defensively.

Vanderbilt looked sharp in the opening 20 minutes as it built a 41-26 lead. The Commodores used a 10-0 run to take a 19-7 run with 12:39 to play during which Skuchas had two buckets and a backdoor feed to Corey Smith for a layup.

Last season, Vanderbilt played perhaps its finest game of the regular season at TCU and beat the Horned Frogs 95-60. Vanderbilt led by 28 points at halftime and never looked back.

Saturday night’s game marked a homecoming for TCU coach Neil Dougherty, who was an assistant at Vanderbilt from 1989-93 under Eddie Fogler and was part of Vanderbilt’s last SEC championship team in 1993.
