• Vanderbilt faces its fifth top 10 foe this season when the Commodores welcome No. 1 Auburn to Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday night at 6 p.m.

 CAREY TAKING CHARGE

• Jaylen Carey produced a career-high 18 points and a career-best 14 rebounds to lead the Dores past Texas.
• Carey was 8-of-13 from the field and grabbed nine offensive rebounds which led directly to 11 second-chance points.
• The career day followed a then season-high 15 points at Florida in the midweek.
• He also added an assist, block and steal to his ledger against the sixth-ranked Gators.

 HOGGARD HANDING OUT HELPERS

• AJ Hoggard has racked up five or more assists in each of the past four games, totaling 23 in the span.
• Hoggard can become the first Commodore to record five or more assists in five-straight games since Ezra Manjon did so in 2023.
• Hoggard is averaging 5.0 assists per game in SEC play and has six games with five or more dimes in league action.

IF I HAD A NICKEL

• Tyler Nickel knocked down four three-pointers in the win over Texas to pour in 17 points.
• It’s the 11th time this season Nickel has hit three or more triples. The Dores are 10-1 in those games.
• In SEC play this season, Nickel is shooting .411 from beyond the arc.

SECOND HALF REBOUND

• After noted second half struggles on the defensive end in the previous four games, Vanderbilt flipped the script in the win over Texas.
• Vandy held the Longhorns to just 40.6 percent from the field in the second half and just 28.6 from beyond the arc.
• The Dores outscored Texas 51-39 in the second for their first comeback win of the season.

SERIES HISTORY

• Vanderbilt owns a 90-58 edge in the all-time series with Auburn, but the Tigers have won seven of the past eight meetings. The Dores are 51-19 against Auburn at home.
• Auburn marks the fifth top 10 opponent for the Dores this season. Vandy is 2-2 in those matchups.
• A win Tuesday would mark the first time the Commodores have defeated three top 10 teams in a single season since 1992-93.
