NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s basketball head coach Shea Ralph announced the Commodores’ 2024-25 nonconference schedule Thursday, as Vandy is slated to play a total of 14 nonconference games prior to the start of SEC action this season.
Coming off its first NCAA Tournament appearance in a decade, Coach Ralph has put together a rigorous nonconference slate to prepare the Commodores for another run to March Madness. Vanderbilt will play a total of nine nonconference games at Memorial Gymnasium, starting with back-to-back home games against Lipscomb (Nov. 4) and Austin Peay (Nov. 8) to open the 2024-25 campaign.

After the season-opening homestand against the Bison and Governors, Vanderbilt takes to the road for the first time in 2024-25 on Nov. 14 when they travel to South Florida. The Commodores return to Memorial Gym to begin a three-game stay against Butler (Nov. 17), Hampton (Nov. 20), and Samford (Nov. 22).
The Dores head West to the Golden State during the week of Thanksgiving to play in the 2024 Acrisure Classic in Palm Springs, California. Vanderbilt opens the Acrisure Classic against Arizona on Nov. 26. Tipoff against the Wildcats is set for 3:30 p.m. CT on TruTV. Based on the result of their first game, the Commodores will take on either California or Michigan State on Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. CT on TruTv.
Vanderbilt opens the final month of the 2024 calendar year with a home contest against Appalachian State (Dec. 1) before heading to South Beach to take the Miami Hurricanes (Dec. 4) for the SEC/ACC Challenge. The Dores return to West End on Dec. 14 to challenge Evansville, then head back on the road on Dec. 19 for a contest at Dayton.
The Commodores close out the nonconference slate with home games against NCAA Division I newcomer West Georgia (Dec. 21) and Alabama A&M (Dec. 29).
