Dores Add Marks to Record Books Friday

Vanderbilt track and field student-athletes broke one school record, added two marks to program all-time top 10 lists

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt Track and Field continued its busy outdoor season at Florida Relays and the Joe Walker Invitational where Commodores added two marks to program all-time top 10 lists and broke a school record.

To start the day in Florida, the 4×100-meter relay team of Ella Escobar, Tina Benzinger, Alima Kassim and Josie Donelson clocked 45.68 seconds, which is the sixth fastest time in school history.

In the 400-meter hurdles, Allyria McBride led the Dores with a sixth-place finish and a time of 57.13 seconds. Joy Moorer earned a top-20 finish and ran a personal-best time of 59.31 seconds, ranked 10th all-time at Vandy. Madyson Wilson also recorded a PR in the 400 hurdles and placed in the top 25 with a time of 59.93 seconds.

Doneslon, Escobar, Eva Gautreaux and Moorer ended the day in Gainesville with a time of 3:39.29 in the 4×400-meter relay, good for 10th place.

At the Joe Walker Invitational, Brady Bliven kicked off the action for the Dores with a personal best in the 800 meters. His time of 1:49.66 earned a fourth-place finish.

To close out the evening, Michael Skora broke the 39-year-old school record and finished fourth in the 1,500 meters at the Joe Walker Invitational with a time of 3:44.16.
