Vanderbilt Athletics’ annual Fan Day activity, Dore Jam, is scheduled Saturday, August 4 on campus, offering fans an opportunity to meet their Commodore favorite student-athletes, get autographs, listen to live music and participate in an array of family-oriented activities.
The 17th annual Dore Jam, which attracts thousands of Commodore fans, will be held from 4-6 p.m. It will be staged for the sixth straight year in the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility, located between 25th Avenue South and Natchez Trace.
Admission is free to the event. Fans are encouraged to park in the university surface lots across Natchez Trace from the Vanderbilt Track and Field Complex or the West Garage, located at the corner of 25th Avenue South and Children’s Way.
Head coach Derek Mason and the Vanderbilt football team will be on hand to greet fans and sign 2018 schedule posters that will be distributed free at the entrance, which will be located off Children’s Way for the second straight year.
Darren Ambrose and his Vanderbilt women’s soccer team, coming off a NCAA appearance last year, also will be on hand to sign schedule posters.

In conjunction with Dore Jam, a school supply drive will be held for students of Buena Vista Elementary School, a Nashville inner-city public school adopted last year by the Vanderbilt athletic department.
Fans are encouraged to bring pencils, markers, glue sticks, crayons, scissors and more to donate to Buena Vista. Donation bins will be set up at the entrance to Dore Jam.
Official mascot Mr. C, Commodore spirit leaders, face painters and balloon artists will be on hand to entertain young fans. Other activities for young fans include inflatables, obstacle courses, soccer skee balls and a kicking station.
A Vanderbilt-themed photo booth will be available to fans attending the event.
Staff from Barnes & Noble at Vanderbilt will be on-site with the latest Vanderbilt Athletics gear and merchandise.
