Dore Jam Date Set

Celebration of start of 2025-26 athletic season will be Aug. 23

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Dore Jam,  the annual celebration marking the start of the Vanderbilt Athletics year, is set for Aug. 23 it was announced on Wednesday.

The event—which is free to the general public—will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center.

Representatives from nearly every Commodore sport program will be available at interactive stations throughout the facility, with stations featuring football agility ladders and quarterback net, bowling balls and pins, and track banana hurdles and starting blocks. There will also be lawn games and face painting activities available to Vandy supporters, who will be able to stop at photo stations at a variety of locations within the rec center as well, while a local DJ will provide music throughout the event.

The university’s clear bag policy will be in effect at the function, with additional information expected to be announced closer to the date of Dore Jam.
