Vanderbilt signee Darius Garland has been named as a semifinalist for the Naismith National Boys’ High School Player of the Year in an announcement made by the Atlanta Tipoff Club on Tuesday. Garland, from Brentwood Academy, inked a National Letter of Intent with the Commodores in November of 2017.
The National Naismith High School All-America team will be announced on March 5, and the award winner will be unveiled on March 8, 2018.
Garland becomes Vanderbilt’s first Naismith National Boys’ High School Player of the Year semifinalist.
