NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt men and women’s cross country teams have released their schedules for the 2019 season, head coach Steven Keith announced.
The teams will have the same competition schedule with the women participating in one additional race.
The lone meet in Nashville will be Sept. 14, when the squads host the Commodore Classic. Last season, the women’s team placed third in the stacked, 21-team field led by Sara Tsai. The men’s squad was paced in the 2018 edition by returner Nick Laning.
Both teams will open the season on Aug. 31 at the Memphis Twilight in Memphis, Tennessee, before coming home for the lone meet of the season.
After the Commodore Classic, the women will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to compete in Ohio State’s meet. Both teams will travel to Louisville, Kentucky, for the Louisville Classic before heading to the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Indiana.
This year’s SEC Championships will be held on Nov. 1 in Lexington, Kentucky.
The NCAA South Regional Championships will be held on Nov. 15 in Tallahassee, Florida, with the NCAA Championships to follow on Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
