Today’s spotlight: Christa Reed
Vanderbilt freshman Christa Reed is today’s featured player on our Countdown to Tipoff package that will lead up to the Commodores’ season opener against Belmont on Nov. 14.
Reed, a sharpshooter from Bay St. Louis, Miss., averaged 26.2 points, 7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.2 steals as a senior last year at Bay High. She made 120 3-pointers as a senior, including going 14-for-14 during one game to tie the single-game state record.
Reed was named to the Clarion Ledger’s Dandy Dozen as a junior and a senior and was selected to the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star game as a senior.
