Vanderbilt head women’s golf coach Greg Allen has announced the signing of Cindy Ha and Alexandra Farnsworth to National Letters of Intent, with both being eligible to compete for the Commodores beginning in the fall of 2014.

“I couldn’t be more excited about signing these two wonderful young ladies and having the opportunity to coach them,” said Allen. “Alexandra and Cindy are no doubt going to come in here and leave their mark with the Vanderbilt community on and off the golf course. They are brilliant students, passionate players and outstanding role models. It’s been a pleasure getting to know them and their families during the recruiting process and they will fit right in with the family atmosphere that we have at Vanderbilt Golf.”

In 2012, Ha finished second at the Lessing’s and the Exide Technologies Junior Open presented by Mizuno, and third at the Deutsche Bank Partners for Charity Junior Shootout.

“Alexandra and Cindy are both proven players at all levels of junior golf,” continued Allen. “Alexandra won about everything there is to win in Nashville and in the state of Tennessee and will come in here as probably the most decorated local player ever behind Brandt Snedeker. Cindy really got our attention in the summer of 2011 when she beat Marina Alex in the first round of the US Women’s Amateur. I look for Cindy and Alexandra to come in right away and help us.”
