12/28/2005

Vanderbilt returns to action following the holiday break on Friday when it travels to Dayton for a 6 p.m. CT contest. The game will be televised by Comcast Sports Southeast.

The Commodores (8-1) concluded their non-conference home schedule on Dec. 22 with a 53-45 victory over IUPUI. Shan Foster led Vanderbilt with 12 points. It marked the fifth time this season Vanderbilt has held an opponent under 60 points.

Dayton (8-5) is coming off a pair of losses to Cincinnati and Northern Iowa at the Las Vegas Holiday Classic. Guard Brian Roberts netted a team-high 18 points in the Flyers 74-67 loss to Northern Iowa on Dec. 23.

Dayton is 7-1 at home this season.
Vanderbilt leads the series with Dayton 3-0, including a 90-74 decision last year at Memorial Gymnasium.
