KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt women’s golf finished in second place at the one-day, 36-hole Tennessee Spring Challenge on Monday. The Commodores notched a 4-over-par first round and followed it up with an 8-over finish in the afternoon.
Angelina Tolentino led the Vanderbilt effort, tying for second place individually. She carded a 4-under-par first round and went 1-over in the second round to close out her day. Tolentino holed seven total birdies over Monday’s 36 holes.
Tillie Claggett had a 1-over total on the day to tie for sixth. She carded a 3-over round in the morning and a 2-under score in the afternoon. Sara Im shot an even-par 72 and a 77 on her way to a 5-over, 36-hole total.
Claire Henson completed the day 9-over, shooting a 77 and a 76 over her two rounds. Charlene Chung had an 83 and a 77. Macie Brown, competing as an individual, finished with an 80 and a 79.
The Commodores now head into postseason competition to finish their season. The Dores travel to Belleair, Florida, on April 14 to compete in the SEC Championships.
