Commodores to host Salute to Service vs. Ole Miss

NASHVILLE — Vanderbilt’s home game vs. Ole Miss on Saturday (6:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network) will mark the Commodores’ annual Salute to Service game, honoring active and former servicemen and women in observance of Veterans’ Day.

The day will kick off with Vanderbilt football players donning special shirts during Dore Alley that feature names of fallen soldiers while the Commodore coaches will also wear special Salute to Service sweatshirts on the sidelines in conjunction with Medals of Honor.

Fort Campbell will set up a special howitzer display outside Gate 2 of Vanderbilt Stadium. Vanderbilt fans can also donate tickets to local service members through Commodore Giving.

Make sure to get in your seats early as the Black Daggers, the official U.S. Army Special Operations Command Parachute Demonstration Team, will jump in with the game ball. Throughout the game, Vanderbilt will honor local veterans, active military members and first responders for their service to our community.

The first 3,000 fans at the Ole Miss game will receive a special American "Our City" T-shirt. To purchase tickets, visit our tickets page here.
