Quotes from VU Head Men’s Cross Country Coach Don Bailey:

“We were thrilled to get a win. We just wanted to stay under control early on and just work our way up through the field.”

“The three seniors stepped up really big, which was the goal. Mike Gaske and Kyle had a really strong race, they really showed some leadership.”

“Mike Nordlund had an outstanding race, he broke into our top five for a little while. He’s really stepping up and closing the gap.”

“We certainly got our work cut out for us but we’re going to try to step up to the challenge for the SEC championship.”
