As they continue to prepare the season, the Vanderbilt women’s basketball team experienced a series of intense workouts over the weekend. But in this case, the Commodores weren’t working on their jump shots or their post moves.
Instead, they were focused on building team unity while experiencing military-style workouts — called “Small Boat Judgement Day” — during a two-day training session hosted by The ProgramTM.

The Commodores opened the weekend with a strenuous workout on the practice football field. On Saturday, the team gathered — before sunrise — at Percy Priest Lake for the final segments of the two-day exercise.
The Program was founded in 2008 with the goal of providing professional and collegiate athletic teams with the best leadership development and team building services in the country. The Program seeks to build better leaders and more cohesive teams, and operates with the mind-set that “Talent may win individual games, but leadership and unit cohesion enable teams to compete for championships.”
