NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt women’s golf travels to Cobbtown, Ga., on Thursday to compete in the one-day Match at Ohoopee against Georgia Southern. The Commodores will take on the Eagles at Ohoopee Golf Club in a five player, 18-hole, match play competition.
“We are excited to compete and this time it’s on one of the best golf courses in the nation, Ohoopee Match Club,” said head coach Greg Allen.
The Vandy lineup consists of Tillie Claggett, Lynn Lim, and Ava Merrill alongside Sara Im and freshman Angelina Tolentino. This team is fresh off a runner-up performance at the Puerto Rico Classic. The matchups for the day are as follows:

Sara Im (VU) vs. Louise Reau (GS)
Angelina Tolentino (VU) vs. Regina Plascencia (GS)
Tillie Claggett (VU) vs. Mary Miller (GS)
Ava Merrill (VU) vs. Kelsey Chen (GS)
“We get the privilege to play Georgia Southern in a match play competition,” said Allen. “This will be a great preview for us when the postseason is here.”
Vanderbilt was recently ranked No. 11 in the SCOREBOARD NCAA Women’s Golf rankings. Georgia Southern is No. 37.
